Layouts

When it comes to layout, I wanted to have a clear focus without much clutter. It was a challenge to make a room look inhabited without being too sparse.
In the same vein, I wanted to think about how the outside of the room would look, so I pushed myself to draw a boat in the style of some 19th century British flagships, complete with an iron hull to make sense of a riveted porthole.


Later on, I designed a panning scene through the woods the follows a character along a forest path into a more ominous part of the forest.
